Introducing Ventile
Ventile is unique in that the cotton fibres swell when wet to stop rain
penetrating through, so the fabric works with the environment to provide you
with the utmost protection. Keela have developed this concept further by adding
our own liner system, Innovation XL. This soft, comfortable lining has inherent
wicking abilities and is also laminated with a hydrophilic, breathable membrane,
to successfully combat condensation build up and keep the wearer warm and dry.
Thanks to Keela’s innovative new seam sealing tape, all seams on the Falkland
are now fully watertight - a feature which up until recently was impossible due
to Ventile being made of 100% natural fibres. This has enabled us to
dramatically reduce the weight and cost of Ventile garments, while significantly
improving performance, making the Falkland a very special jacket indeed.
